These Terms of Use ('Terms') govern your access to and use of reggaeartsandculture.org (the 'Site'), operated by the Reggae Arts & Culture Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization based in New York, New York. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Site
The Site is provided for personal, non-commercial, informational use. You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access to it, interfering with its operation, scraping or harvesting content at scale, or using the Site for any unlawful purpose.
2. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise noted, all text, research, images, graphics, logos, and other content on the Site (the "Content") is owned by the Foundation or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This includes the names and marks Reggae Arts & Culture Foundation, The Reggae Museum, The Reggae Institute, Reggae Honors, Roots Rock Style, and the Jamrock Awards.
You may view and share links to the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Content without our prior written permission, except as permitted under the Copyright and Image and Archive Usage pages.
3. User Submissions
If you submit information through our Contact, Newsletter, or Archive Contribution forms, you represent that you have the right to share that information and any accompanying description of materials. Submitting information through the Site does not, by itself, transfer ownership of any physical or intellectual property to the Foundation. 4. No Professional Advice
Content on the Site is provided for educational and informational purposes about reggae and Jamaican cultural history. It does not constitute legal, tax, financial, or professional advice of any kind.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its Content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. The Foundation is actively building and expanding its research and archival materials, and some Content may be incomplete, outdated, or subject to correction.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Foundation and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
7. Changes to the Site and These Terms
We may modify the Site or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
8. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
